08-25-09 Safeco Field - OAK Athletics vs. SEA Mariners This video was taken while I was in Seattle working for the aerial photo company. The next pictures are of a Seattle Mariners game that I was able to attend while in Seattle. The matchup was against the Oakland Athletics. Bottom of the 8th, tie game with runners on first and second and one out. All of a sudden the crowd erupts and flashes every where. The Man of Hour, #24 Ken Griffey Jr. We decided to go the game just for the sole purpose of watching him play. When we found out that he was not in the starting lineup, I was pretty down. You couldn't have asked for a better entrance than this. The crowd came alive, flash bulbs flickered everywhere. Even though it was just another at bat for the sure-to-be hall of framer, it really did feel like I was taking in a piece of history. I took a pictures of him in the on deck circle and then switched over to the video mode. I got this video of him just stepping into the batter's box, the announcer saying his name over the loud speaker, the music pumping up the already revitalized crowd and team. Flash bulbs and cameras were going off every second. I was truly in aww. Now back in reality, here he is trying to get the Mariners back into the game. Unfortunately he did not come through. He struck out swinging so no big time come back...yet. The Mariners took the game into over time and in the bottom of the tenth, one runner on, a walk off home run only about 15 feet from us in <b>...</b>
